Dont Eat Melon With Anything
Especially dairy, eggs, fried food, grains and starches. Dr. Lad even goes further in saying Melon more than most fruit should be eaten alone or left alone.
This is quite interesting. When I walk in a diner or a restaurant in the morning for breakfast and look at what people are eating. I see most of the plates loaded with eggs, cheese, some kind of bacon or sausage, potatoes and a side of fruit plate that has mixed fruit and melon.
Lets see whats wrong with this combination:

Why Does Stress Cause Stomach Pain Or Gi Discomfort
We know through research there is a strong connection between our brain and our gut through the central nervous system. The enteric nervous system an out-branching of the central nervous system serves the GI tract, making a direct connection between our brain and gastrointestinal system. That connection can cause normal physiologic processes to be interpreted as painful under stressful or anxiety-provoking situations.
When were stressed, hormones and neurotransmitters are released in the body. This can negatively impact gut motility, or the way our intestines and stomach squeeze and move waste through the body. Also, stress can affect the delicate balance of bacteria in our gut, causing GI discomfort.
People experiencing chronic stress may also eat more or eat unhealthy foods with a higher amount of natural and artificial sugar that is poorly digested and causes GI distress. People may also smoke and drink more alcohol or caffeine than normal which can cause symptoms.
When Should I Be Concerned About Stomach Pain
One biggie to flag is that you shouldnt be able to feel pain in your internal organs if you do suspect that’s the case, then head to your doctor, STAT. Plus, if you are dealing with recurring pain over multiple weeks and it affecting your day-to-day life, then do head to see your GP for tests.
Other than that, obviously, stomach pain after eating can be as a result of easily-fixable issues, as well as medical reasons.

I’m presenting four days post stomach flu, and am experiencing the same problems. but I know in anohter week or so it should be gone.
I know that when you get a stomach flu, it’s a result of a virus infecting you, which means that antibodies are created on overtime to help fight them. These antibodies tend to attack the natural ‘flora’ in your stomach–good bacteria that helps to digest stomach contents. after a flu, you’re essentially germ-free–the antibodies have done their job, and they’ll soon lower.
the problem then is, you have no stomach flora to help digest otherwise difficult-to-digest foods, which can contribute to stomach pain.
Two things that can help, but cannot hurt, are Fiber and Probiotics. Probiotics will help restore the stomach contents–and in a lot of cases, if people have stomach issues like crohn’s and other digestive problems, trying probiotics typically helps. and fiber helps purge the system of any lingering unwanted waste. best to blow it all out and restore your naturally occurring ‘good bacteria’.

You Might Have A Food Allergy
A food allergy is a step up in severity from a food intolerance. If you have an allergic reaction to a food, it means your immune system has mistakenly identified that food as a potentially harmful invader and mounted a defense against it, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology explains. That immune system defense is what leads to symptoms like abdominal cramping, a tingly or itchy mouth, hives and overall bodily itching, facial swelling, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, and even potentially life-threatening trouble breathing.
According to the AAAAI, the most common food allergens are proteins in cows milk, eggs, peanuts, wheat, soy, fish, shellfish, and tree nuts. If you notice youre constantly dealing with pretty intense symptom flare-ups after eating these foods, an allergy could be to blame.

Why Does My Stomach Hurt When I Drink Anything
Put simply, alcohol irritates your digestive system. Drinking even a little makes your stomach produce more acid than usual, which can in turn cause gastritis . This triggers stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhoea and, in heavy drinkers, even bleeding.
When To Call The Doctor
If you experience symptoms for more than a week, its wise to make a doctors appointment. However, if you have severe symptoms at any point throughout, it is also a good idea to be seen. Other symptoms that warrant a doctor visit include high fever, nausea and vomiting, confusion, difficulty speaking, vision problems, rapid heart rate, and seizures. While the most common symptoms of diarrhea and stomach problems are flu, food reactions, medications, stress, alcohol consumption, IBD, and IBS, these conditions can also be indicative of cancer, cystic fibrosis, appendicitis, or intestinal obstruction. If you have persistent symptoms, its best to be safe and be seen.
If you need to see a doctor for diarrhea and abdominal pain, or you are experiencing other GI upset, book an appointment at Carolina Digestive today.

Sudden And Severe Onset Stomach Pain
When mid-abdominal pain occurs suddenly especially in people with a history of peptic ulcer disease or in those who take excessive amounts of aspirin or NSAIDs it may be a sign of a perforation that could require emergency surgery. A tear could leak air and gastric content which can lead to a condition called peritonitis, and eventually, septic shock. Surgery would be required to seal the perforation.
Why Does My Stomach Burn After I Eat
Its happened to many of us before: not long after finishing a meal, you have a gnawing or burning stomach pain. While many may write it off as simply heartburn, it may be a symptom of gastritis, a common condition that can occur gradually or suddenly in response to certain triggers, such as food.
Not surprisingly, diet and lifestyle can have a significant impact on your digestive health and your overall health, which is why it is so important to pay attention to what you eat.

Dont Eat Grains With Fruit
This is a hard one for most people, since we all are so used to eating our cereals with fruit and pancakes with fruit toppings. On another note, my health plan nutritionist and Dr. Soni both agree that any packaged cereal is dead food since it is processed and loaded with sugar and probably is 6 months to a year old before we consume it. They both recommended making fresh oatmeal or other grains like bulgur wheat, millet, barley. The oatmeal should not be the instant kind but the one that takes 5 to 10 minutes to cook. Once we become aware and sensitive to how our body responds to the food we eat, you will be able to feel the effects of eating the right combination. So, try eating oatmeal with fruit one day and without fruit another day and feel the difference.
Symptoms Of Stomach Pain After Meals
Most of the time, the causes of digestive trouble after eating are not too much to worry about. But if the pain is very strong, sudden, or long-lasting, it should be examined by a doctor as soon as possible.
Some common warning signs of stomach pain after a meal are:
Bloating
Just because others can tolerate certain kinds of food well, does not mean you will too. Eating too fast, too much, or foods too high in fat can all trigger gas and bloating issues in the stomach. Try logging the foods you eat and tracking how your body responds to different things.
Constipation
Stomach pains after eating, coupled with constipation, can spring from various lifestyle and dietary factors. For example, the abdominal muscles and diaphragm are needed to aid digestion, and insufficient fiber in the diet can make it hard for food to pass through your system properly.
Heartburn
Heartburn often accompanies stomach pain and indigestion. Heartburn is often caused by acid reflux, the reverse flow of stomach acid up into the esophagus, causing burning and discomfort. Too much alcohol and fatty food are often to blame.
Nausea
Nausea is an important sign to look out for because it has several possible causes, anything from food poisoning to Crohns disease, a chronic inflammatory disease of the gastrointestinal tract. If you regularly feel nauseous after eating, see a doctor.

What Causes Stomach Pain And Bowel Urge After Eating And Drinking
If you experience stomach pain and an urge to move your bowels after eating, you’re probably wondering what’s going on. Many people use the term “stomach pain” not only to describe pain in the stomach, but also in the abdominal area, too. See your doctor if stomach pain and bowel urges concern you.
If you are experiencing serious medical symptoms, seek emergency treatment immediately.
Preventing Stomach Aches After Eating

Prevention is always better than treatment. If youre unsure of whats causing your abdominal pain or nausea after eating, you can always make some changes to your diet and lifestyle habits that may help.
Avoid foods that irritate your GI tract , avoid overeating, and try to break bigger meals into smaller portions. Smoking is also an irritant to overall GI health. Reducing caffeine may also prove helpful.
Avoid foods that irritate your GI tract, avoid overeating, and try to break bigger meals into smaller portions.
Its also important to eat foods that help your GI system. Foods that are high in fiber will help improve bowel motility and prevent constipation. The more water and fluids you drink, the better . Probiotic-rich food, like unsweetened yogurt, can also be helpful to the GI system.
Stay on top of your mental health and dont forgo regular checkups. While stress and anxiety arent responsible for every stomach ache and pain, your body will respond to an excess of stressors in your life.
Knowing when to seek immediate care for abdominal pain can be hard. However, there are a few signs and symptoms that are red flags and should be addressed with a doctor immediately.

/ Support Your Stomach Bacteria
Certain Lactobacillus species can survive within the stomach and inhibit H.pylori by reducing their ability to bind to the stomach lining, says Barnes. Increasing evidence also strongly indicates that the gut microbiota plays a pivotal role in the regulation of gastro-intestinal pain.
Increasing fermented foods, including sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir and kombucha, or taking a live bacteria supplement such as Bio-Kult Advanced, which contains 14 different strains, including seven Lactobacillus species, could help to increase the beneficial strains in the stomach, whilst inhibiting the harmful ones.
