Right Or Left Lower Abdominal Pain In Women
Sudden onset of right lower abdominal pain or left lower abdominal pain can indicate a ruptured ovarian cyst in a woman who is mid-cycle. This kind of pain could also be a sign of ovarian torsion, which is the rotation of the ovary and part of the fallopian tube, or possibly a twisting of the ovary due to compromised blood supply. Seek treatment immediately at the nearest emergency department. Surgery to remove the ovary may be required.

Your symptoms and signs are usually common with conditions that have to do with the stomach or intestines. Some causes are gas pains, constipation, and possibly indigestion. Try to drink plenty of fluids, and pay attention to any foods that may be making the symptoms and signs worse. Call your doctor if you don’t get better after a day or two. In some instances, these symptoms and signs can point to something more serious in your belly. If these symptoms and signs concern you, it’s best to give your doctor a call right away.
While the list below can be considered as a guide to educate yourself about these conditions, this is not a substitute for a diagnosis from a health care provider. There are many other medical conditions that also can be associated with your symptoms and signs. Here are a number of those from MedicineNet:

Recovery Of Painful Abdomen In Dogs
Many cases of illness result in a need for dietary management. Painful abdomen in dogs is certainly no different. The importance of what you feed your pet, and the need for a balanced diet are paramount to maintaining health. The veterinarian will describe the dietary needs of your pet and tailor them to your dogs needs, based upon the cause of the abdominal pain.
Dogs who have had surgery to resolve pain will have a longer recovery time due to stitches, food and exercise restrictions, and the need for follow-up visits to assess wound healing. Anti-inflammatories, pain medication, and antibiotics may be part of the medication regimen to be followed upon release from the clinic.

Ibs Stomach Pain And Tender Stomach Anybody
I am new to this group,
it was around 7 months back when suddenly i got severe gas, burping and stomach pain, the stomach was tender to touch.
The pain continues till today, I get stomach pain mostly on top of belly button and left side and the entire area has point tenderness.
Stomach pain is irrespective of eating.
I have done all kinds of blood tests and upper GI endoscopy twice and ctscan.
Only thing that came up in endoscopy was Antral gastritis with hpylori negative.
But I wonder if gastritis can cause that much pain and tenderness.
My doctor says its a functional pain and can be IBS.
I feel so depressed and miserable to think about the pain staying forever.
Please reply if anybody experienced the same.

I can relate to you Nichola!
It started with me when I was just 18 weeks postpartum, I had a csection and then the stress of taking care of a baby and not being able to sleep at nights evoked it all.
How long have you been having this?
Is there something that helps with the pain, apart from less stress.
Have you been thru endoscopy and colonoscopy?
I hsd Antral gastritis in endoscopy.
I am sometimes terrified thinking of Crohns of small intestine.
Even I feel stress increases my pain and symptoms.
But it’s quite difficult to live with a pain and not being completely able to enjoy the moments with my baby. Hope theres a way out.
Keep sharing if you get something to know.

Skin Painful To Touch But Nothing Visible
My teenage daughter has an area of skin on her upper back that is painful to touch, even lightly , but the skin there looks completely normal – no sign of redness or a rash. What could cause this? I thought it might be shingles , but that usually causes a rash.

Sounds like Allodynia. Has she had a an injury to the area? Its a heightened awareness of skin pain in patches. Sometimes this can subside quite naturally, especially if she can ignore it, but if it continues she may need some help in desensitization. You could try giving her Ibuprofen twice a day for 3 days….
Has it become sensitive due to a label in her clothes rubbing or scratching?
Posted 3 years ago
oh, yes, she hasnt had any injury or trauma to that area. However, when it started there appeared to be two tiny puncture wounds on her back in that area, just tiny blood spots but no swelling or redness. Those have gone now.

Stomach Feels Sore In Early Pregnancy
Tender stomach or abdonimal discomfort usually becomes an issue during the first few stages of pregnancy. It can be caused by several factors and has several characteristics that can indicate whether the pain you feel is serious or simply a passing sensation. For instance, intermittent discomfort in the abdomen that feels similar to menstrual cramps may simply be an indicator of your uterus preparing itself for your babys development and growth.
On the other hand, if you experience other symptoms or complications like heavy bleeding, chills, and fever at the same time as your abdominal episodes, you may be suffering from other more serious medical conditions. If this is the case, do not hesitate to seek immediate medical assistance.
