How Should I Use This Medication
The usual recommended dose of this medication for adults and children 12 to 65 years of age is 1 capsule or tablet every 8 to 12 hours.
For adults over 65 years of age, the usual dose is 1 capsule or tablet every 12 hours.
Take this medication with a full glass of water. It may be taken with food or on an empty stomach. Do not take more than 2 capsules or tablets within a 24-hour period. Naproxen sodium should only be used for short periods of time up to 5 days for pain and 3 days for fever. If your symptoms continue or change, contact your doctor.

I usually take Motrin instead and feel better, but every 6 months or so I’ll forget that Midol makes me feel nauseous and sweaty and take it.
YES. I took it once when I was a teenager, and never ever ever again. Something about the diuretic they use really doesn’t agree with me.
I don’t know about motrin, but I’m pretty much sworn off tylenol and ibuprofin because they almost always make me feel awful. They’re helpful sometimes for like, slammed my finger in a door kind of pain, but never headaches or stomach aches or migraines or hangovers or period cramps or anything like that. They constrict bloodflow, and in the case of hangovers do things to your liver that are counterproductive. I do some yoga poses, drink water, eat veggies and broth and sleep it off. I wouldn’t be surprised if motrin had the same effect on people.
Just to let you know, Motrin is a name brand ibuprofen product while Tylenol is an acetaminophen product. Ibuprofin in the body will process through the kidneys and acetaminophen through the liver.
Do you react badly to coffee? Midol contains caffeine, which helps many women with cramps, but if you don’t like caffiene it’ll go badly for you.
It also has acetimophine so it’s not good to take on an empty stomach.
