  • Dose: High doses of turmeric are more likely to cause side effects than low dose.
  • Form: Turmeric supplements are more likely to cause side effects than spice.
  • Time: Some side effects like stomach discomfort are transient so you wont face this in the long term. However long term use of high dose supplements can be harmful.
  • Time of taking turmeric: There is no specific time of taking turmeric. However, if you are taking it on an empty stomach or close to the time of taking medicines you could face some mild side effects.
  • Quality: Always opt for a top brand turmeric supplement or organic turmeric to avoid the risk of heavy metal contamination and adulteration.

What Type Of Antidepressant Is Trintellix

Trintellix is a multimodal antidepressant or an atypical antidepressant medication. Like many other antidepressant medications, Trintellix works by increasing serotonin levels in the brain by preventing serotonin reabsorption. However, unlike many SSRIs that only work by reuptake inhibition, Trintellix also works via the mechanism of serotonin receptor activity modulation.

    Trintellix And Blood Thinners

Trintellix raises the risk of bleeding problems, so therapy will need to be monitored if a person is also taking blood-thinners, such as warfarin or Plavix . Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs , such as aspirin and ibuprofen, also interfere with blood clotting, so they should be used sparingly when taking Trintellix. Some anticancer drugs also raise the risk of bleeding episodes when taken with Trintellix. Finally, steroids can cause gastrointestinal bleeding. The risk of bleeding problems increases when these medications are taken with Trintellix.

Many people are unaware that some popular dietary and herbal supplements interfere with blood clotting, so these, too, should be used sparingly when taking Trintellix. They include:

    • Garlic
    • Willow bark

    Does Trintellix Cause Side Effects

Trintellix is an antidepressant used to treat major depressive disorder .

Trintellix decreases the reuptake of serotonin just like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors . It also stimulates various serotonin receptors in the brain. The exact mechanism by which Trintellix improves mood in patients with major depressive disorder is not known.

It may have a role in enhancing the activity of the neurotransmitter serotonin in the brain by inhibiting the transport of serotonin. The exact contribution of the respective activity of Trintellix at these receptor sites requires further investigation.

Has Anyone Had Success With Trintellix

    nellie1990

It’s been a while since I posted, my update is I’ve been on Alprazolam for nearly two months now and have seen various psychologists, I do talk therapy at least once a week, guided meditation in the morning, walk at least 20 minutes every night, and have cut out all fried, fast, and overtly sugary foods . The prescription my GP wrote for my anxiety is the 1mg Alprazolam to take one or two pills three times daily. 1mg is really strong – it certainly takes away anxiety/panic but also makes me too drowsy to function. Breaking the pill in half barely takes the edge off and I’ll still feel very anxious, and have even had panic attacks in what I find to be stressful situations . My routine has become a half pill in the morning, full in the afternoon, half again in the evening for a total of 2mg a day which I think is relatively safe, but it’s obviously not practical or effective. A big trigger for my anxiety is any GI problems like nausea, vomitting, and diarrhea, so I refused seeking out antidepressants until I saw that I am not getting any better with the changes I’ve made so far and got desperate.

    How Is Gastroparesis Diagnosed

Your doctor will perform a physical exam and ask you questions about your medical history. In order to rule out other possible causes of your symptoms, your doctor will probably want to run some tests. These might include:

    • An ultrasound.Ultrasounds use sound waves to create an image of your organs. It can be used to rule out liver disease, pancreatitis, and gallbladder disease.
    • Blood tests. Blood tests can check for diabetes and other conditions.
    • An upper endoscopy. In an upper endoscopy procedure, your doctor guides a long, thin scope down your esophagus and into your stomach to check for blockages in the stomach and other conditions.

Once your doctor has ruled out other possible causes of your symptoms, theyll order tests to see how well your stomach empties. These tests can include a:

    • Gastric emptying scintigraphy test. A gastric emptying scan involves eating a small amount of food with a harmless radioactive substance so that your doctor can see how fast food is being digested and emptied from your stomach.
    • SmartPill. A SmartPill is a capsule that contains a device to track how fast food moves through your digestive tract.
    • Carbon breath test. In this test, carbon dioxide production is tracked through the digestive system.

If your gastroparesis is caused by a condition like diabetes, the first step is to improve control of that underlying condition. After that, your doctor may recommend medications, diet changes, and even surgery in some cases.
